It’s no news that Suits are the hallmark of the Zegna brand. Since the brand’s existence in 1910, it’s thrived on creating bespoke suits with impeccable quality fabrics and world class craftsmanship.
Nonetheless, in a world that’s constantly changing, one would wonder if the hype around wearing a perfectly tailored suit has diminished over the years, especially when fashion trends are consistently evolving and ‘Casual’ is slowly becoming the new normal.
Zegna’s Creative Director Jerry Lorenzo speaks of creating a balance between casual and formal in an interview with Vogue. He throws more light into the evolution of Zegna Suits when he said: How do we make suiting and tailoring feel like a hoodie and a pair of sweatpants, something that you can slide into easily and something that fits comfortably with you and something that allows you to be appropriate for all occasions?
He further explains: “I think there’s a maturation that is happening from a youth side, and I think there’s also an easiness that an older gentleman is looking for as well. So we both saw this space that we wanted to play in, and that is both easy and sophisticated.”
Clearly, Zegna suits are going nowhere but are being recreated in different forms to deliver comfort and style.
In an interview with GQ, the Zegna group CEO Gildo Zegna highlights what’s happening now when he said “I think we’re getting more formal with the suit. A younger customer wears the suit with no tie, in a more casual way, in a more fashion direction. Guys my age are still wearing the suit, still in a more dressy way.
Whether it’s made to measure or a casual blazer, you can experience absolute comfort, class and timeless luxury when you shop the Zegna brand.
